As Chairman of the Bath County Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Andrew Jones, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Bath County Library, Courthouse Hill Road, Warm Springs, VA 24484, starting at 7:00 p.m. local time on June 17, 2010, for the following purposes:

1. To elect a Unit Chairman.

And for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.


Qualifications for Participation

All legal and qualified voters under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

All voting participants will be required to present a valid photo I.D. and a Bath County voter registration card


Filing Requirements

Candidates for election for Unit Chairman shall file a written statement by mail to Andrew Jones, Chair, P.O. Box 132, Warm Springs, VA 24484, which must be received by June 4, 2010. Postmarks shall not be considered. An official filing form can be obtained at www.bathrepublicans.org or by calling 540-996-4422.

If no more than one candidate files for election to any office to be voted upon at the Mass Meeting, that candidate will be declared elected. No nominations shall be accepted from the floor of the Mass Meeting.
